College Seal Taking Shape in Bracy Hall
July 9, 2003
Many people have been watching as Mount Union College's new science facility, Bracy Hall, takes shape over the summer. The latest addition to Bracy Hall is an inlaid College seal in the floor of the front lobby.
The seal began as a highly detailed metal cast which arrived in one piece and was filled with colored granite chips and an epoxy binding matrix. After a three-step grinding process, the seal will be ready for five coats of wax, according to Blaine Lewis, director of the physical plant.
"It is a very interesting and detailed process," said Lewis. "We think it will look great when it is completed."
