COMBINING MUSIC WITH TECHNOLOGY

June 02, 2010

ALLIANCE, Ohio - Mount Union College will hold its third annual multimedia concert, "Most Significant Bytes," Tuesday, April 17 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

Dr. Jerome Miskell, assistant professor of music, will present the concert, which includes video works, electronic sound compositions and a performance of Peter Lucas Hulan's A Madman's Diary for tenor singer, electronic music and visuals.

Submitted by composers around the world, the subjects of this year's selected works range from composer homages, chaos, sex and voyeurism, and madness, to Adam and Eve, surgical archives and unattributed scientific anomalies.

The concert will be reproduced as an Internet concert gallery page (see the "Most Significant Bytes" web page for details at www.mountunion.edu/~miskeljp/msb.htm).

"Most Significant Bytes" is free and open to the public, however, the concert includes adult themes and is not intended for children.

Presser Recital Hall is located in the Cope Music building on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street.
