I chose to major in philosophy because it tackles the big questions in life. In philosophy, you are never expected to accept anything as true just because somebody says so. It is up to the individual to judge what is true by reason rather than deferring to an authority figure for the answer.

Commencement Attire
You do not have to wear your cap and gown to the rehearsal. However, you should have picked up your academic regalia from the University Store at the Senior Salute. If you have not done so, please stop by the Bookstore during regular store hours as soon as possible to pick up your regalia. You will be required to wear your regalia for the Honors Convocation as well as for the Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies. Please wear the black tassel on your cap at the Honors Convocation and Baccalaureate, and wear the the colored tassel indicating your degree at Commencement.
