COMMUNITY DAY TO TAKE PLACE ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2001

ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union College will host its 16th Annual Community Day on Saturday, September 15, 2001.

Members of the community are invited to join in the festivities, beginning with the dedication of the new Gulling Training Center at 10:30 a.m.

The dedication will be followed by a Community Day Cookout at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Appearances will be made by the Purple Raider Cheerleaders and the Mount Union Mascot MUCaw.

The Purple Raider football team will take on Otterbein College at 1:30 p.m. in the Mount Union Stadium. Free admission coupons are available (limited seating and standing room only). Coupons can be found at area businesses and in the Alliance Review. The halftime show will feature the Mount Union College Marching Band.

The day will continue with a Purple Raider Women's Soccer Game at 2 p.m. at the 23rd Street Field. Mount Union will take on Notre Dame College. Admission is free.

Mount Union College welcomes everyone to visit the College Bookstore, located in the Hoover-Price Campus Center. The Bookstore will be open for Community Day from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
