“Compositions 2000” on Display in Crandall Art Gallery

Romanian Artist András Heim’s works, titled “Compositions 2000,” will be on display through March 5 in the Crandall Art Gallery at Mount Union College. His featured collection includes numerous works in the ink medium.
Born September 18, 1946 in Cluj, Romania, Heim began working at a print shop under the Communist regime. After Romania’s 1989 Revolution, Heim was employed by the literary magazine Krounk from 1990 until 2007. He attended the Ion Andrescu Art Academy and spent numerous years as a professor of art. He has also has been featured in Romanian publications.
Also on display through March 5 in the Gallery will be digital images of works by Kenneth Huff. Huff, who will be presenting the Kershaw Lecture on Thursday, February 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall followed by a reception in the Gallery, is an interdisciplinary visual artist working in a variety of traditional and new media. Through intricately-detailed abstractions, he explores evolving patterns and forms in nature. His body of organically-inspired work spans more than 10 years and includes prints, sculptures, time-based projects, interactive installations, photographs and videos.
The Crandall Art Gallery and Presser Recital Hall are located in Cope Music Hall on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street on the mount union Campus. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 1-6 p.m.
