April 05, 2010
Dave Randall, lecturer of political science at Mount Union, recently invited U. S. Congressmen Ralph Regula to speak to his class on Congress: Legislative Process.
A 1948 graduate of MountUnion, Regula received his L.L.B. from William McKinley School of Law in 1956. He holds an honorary LL.D. from Malone College and an honorary Doctor of Human Letters degree from Mount Union. He has served on the Mount Union College Board of Trustees since 1964.
A congressional representative since 1973, Regula was asked to speak on his experiences in congress and his role as chairman of the sub-committee of labor of health and human services. Regula has also served on the Interior and Related Agencies Subcommittee, the Government Operations Committee and as chair of the Appropriations Committee.
'It was a great educational experience,' said Randall. 'The students enjoyed hearing from Regula and asked many questions after his speech.'
