Continued Learning Sessions Slated

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Four Continued Learning Program (CLP) sessions are scheduled to take place at the University of Mount Union in February.

The next CLP session will feature Amanda Tietze from the Better Business Bureau on Tuesday, February 4.

As vice president of West Virginia Division, she manages all areas of the West Virginia branch office, is the IT and network administrator and speaker to area organizations, schools and senior groups. Tietze speaks on various topics ranging from scams affecting the elderly to ID theft.

Tietze holds an associate’s degree in commercial photography from the University of Akron and a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Malone University. She is active within the community and does volunteer work with many organizations including Refuge of Hope, Safe Community Committee of Star County, YStark and Canton Rotary Club.

Other speakers in February include Jim Perone, who will speak on geocaching on February 11, Jim Kavelaris speaking on Walborn Eagles on February 18 and James Simbro of the Cat Fanciers Association on February 25.

Sessions will take place at 10 a.m. each week. The public is welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons ($6.60) or B&B Café (a la carte) following the sessions.
