Crash Simulation and Other Events to be Held at Mount Union October 22

Several events will be held on Thursday, October 22 at Mount Union College for National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week’s “Drink and Drive…Crash and Die.”

The schedule of events will begin with a drunk driving crash simulation at 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Mount Union Theatre.  Safer Communities of Stark County and GAMMA will be presenting the SIDNE (Simulated Interactive Driving Experience) and CHOICES will hold an informational fair at 5:30 p.m. An all day drunk driving crash display will also be in the Theatre parking lot. 

Following these activities, speaker Michael Gershe will present the “Magic of Life” in the Mount Union Theatre at 7 p.m.  Comedians Gershe and Mike Conley will perform at 9:30 p.m. in the Campus Grounds of the Hoover-Price Campus Center.

These events are presented by The Office of Alcohol, Drug and Wellness Education, The Office of Residence Life, GAMMA, CHOICES, RPB, Mel’s Towing, Safe Communities of Stark County and The Alliance Municipal Court Enforcement and Education Fund.
