Dancing Wheels, Professional Modern Dance Company Performs at Mount Union College

Dancing Wheels, a professional modern dance company comprised of dancers with and without disabilities, performed and presented a convocation on Thursday, October 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mount Union College Theatre.

Dancing Wheels was established in 1980 by founding director and principal dancer, Mary Verdi-Fletcher, a recognized leader in the field of integrated dance. The convocation featured dancers performing pieces from the national tour repertoire and included disability/accessibility information and a question and answer period.
Dancing Wheels has been featured in numerous national publications and television programs including the ABC television special, "Christopher Reeve, A Celebration of Hope." The company has received the 1998 Governor's Award for Outstanding Outreach in the state of Ohio and the 1997 National Rehabilitation Achievement Award.
