Chair of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Business Administration
The Department of Economics, Accounting & Business Administration (EABA) at the University of Mount Union is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to serve as Chair of the Department of Economics, Accounting, and Business Administration.
The department offers six majors and three minors. Presently, there are approximately 350 students with a declared major in the department and approximately 90 students with declared Business Administration minors. EABA majors represent 16% of the entire undergraduate student body. There are 10 full-time faculty members.
The department is currently a candidate for accreditation by ACBSP and expects to host a site visit by the accreditor in spring of 2018. The department seeks to expand its online course offerings, and is actively considering the addition of its first Master’s program, as well as a major in Risk and Insurance Management, in the near future. These developments are expected to contribute to further growth in the size and complexity of the department
Successful candidates will be responsible to lead the department for success and growth, evaluate and develop faculty, schedule and assign all classes, support the institution’s enrollment efforts, and work with students to resolve issues as necessary.
Candidates are expected to hold a terminal degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics and be able to teach in at least one of the offered disciplines. Corporate, entrepreneurial, and/or higher education administration experience will be considered a plus.
