Department of Music to Present Cantus Femina

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union’s women’s choir, Cantus Femina, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance.
The program includes works by David Conte, Vincent Lübeck, Stephanie Martin, Kevin Memley and Allistar MacGillivray and will feature performances by faculty artists Kathy Reichenberger, piano; Betty Schultz, oboe and Dr. Elaine Anderson, cello.
Under the direction of Dr. Grant William Cook III, associate professor of music and director of choral activities, Cantus Femina remains a vital component of the university’s comprehensive choral music program. Open to all female students on campus, this choral ensemble comprises singers from a wide variety of academic disciplines and is committed to the rehearsal and performance of a diverse and challenging repertoire. Cantus Femina rehearses three times each week and performs each semester of the academic year, including performances at the annual University of Mount Union Christmas Festival.
