Department of Music to Present Musical Theatre Workshop

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union’s Department of Music will present a Musical Theatre Workshop at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10 and at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, November 12. This year’s program is “Gradient: A Collection of Stories from Dark to Light.”

Ronald Hazelett, lecturer of voice, serves as the director of the performance, and Ian Leroy ’14 is the pianist. The performance is choreographed by Alex Waitinas, a senior music and theatre major of Bristolville, Ohio.

Select pieces from “Bonnie and Clyde,” “Hairspray,” “Chicago” and “Footloose,” among others, will be included in the performance.

Participating students include Waitinas; junior biology and French major Abbie Fox of Alliance, Ohio; freshman Kyle Herman of Alliance, Ohio; junior theatre major Sarah Yannie of Rocky River, Ohio; junior theatre and public relations major Kayla Lehman of Mogadore, Ohio; senior music and theatre major David Lenahan of Rocky River, Ohio; junior theatre and public relations major Chelsea Posterli of Austintown, Ohio and junior Japanese major Alex Augustine of Brooklyn, Ohio.
