Diana Espenschied to Speak at CLP Session

ALLIANCE, Ohio —Diana Espenschied, executive director for Guardian Support Services, Inc. (GSS) will be the featured speaker at the Continued Learning Program session 10 a.m. on October 16 in the East Room of the Hoover Price Campus Center on the University of Mount Union’s campus.
Espenschied will speak on the topic of expressing the benefits and requirements of becoming a volunteer for GSS.
According to guardiansupportservices.com, GSS, located in Canton, Ohio, was established in 2006 to serve the Stark Probate Court and the public as a center for resources available for the elderly, incompetent citizens of Stark County and to address the growing need to provide caring and capable guardians to the indigent and elderly.
During her discussion, Espenschied will present a short video about GSS and two volunteer guardians will speak on their experience as well.
Those attending are welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons ($6.50) or B&B Café (a la carte) following the session.
The Continued Learning Program sessions, which are all free and open to the public, include a variety of presentations and current perspectives, as well as time for questions and discussion. Additional sessions have been scheduled for October 23 and October 30.
