Diane Thomas has recently been promoted to associate director of public affairs at Mount Union College.
Thomas’ new responsibilities include the implementation of electronic communication strategy, development and management of website content and forms and creation and delivery of e-mail communication.
“During the past few years, Diane’s contributions to our office and the College as a whole have been many,” said Melissa Gardner, executive director of public affairs and marketing. “I am very pleased that she will be taking on an extended role and further developing and enhancing our web presence.”
After serving in various capacities in the Office of Advancement and Office of Public Affairs and Marketing since coming to Mount Union in 2000, Thomas earned a bachelor of arts degree in English and assumed the role of assistant director of public affairs in 2005. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree from Kent State University.
An active member of Christ United Methodist Church, Thomas serves as financial secretary and is a member of administrative council and the finance, stewardship and scholarship committees. She also serves on the One Book One Community committee.
