Dining Services Annual Thanksgiving Dinner a Success

On Sunday, November 23, 2003, Mount Union College dining services held its annual Thanksgiving Dinner. The dinner has been a tradition since 1966.

 

 

The dinner began at 11:45 a.m. and students living on and off campus were invited to reserve a table for the Thanksgiving Celebration. Diners were greeted at the door and shown their tables by cafeteria staff.

The meal began with staff serving salads and drinks to guests and then each table received an individual turkey to carve. The carver selected at each table was supplied with a knife, carving instructions and a chef's hat. Side dishes and rolls were also available.

At the end of the meal each table received a pumpkin pie to serve and guests were invited to take home all leftovers.

"The dinner is held to show appreciation to the students and to end the semester with holiday cheer," said Rodney Peterson, dining services director. About 430 students were served this year.
