Mount Union College and the Alliance Community Hospital, in conjunction with the Alliance Fire Department and the Alliance Police Department, will be conducting a disaster drill on Monday, May 10 between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on the College’s campus.
Area residents shouldn’t be alarmed if they see emergency vehicles on the campus of Mount Union or near the area of Alliance Community Hospital during the drill on Monday.
The purpose of the exercise is to practice the efficiency of emergency medical, criminal and evacuation procedures in the unfortunate incidence of a community-wide disaster.
The drill will incorporate the assistance of several regional and county emergency responders and disaster management specialists and various local volunteers, as well as several troops from the Wapakenachee District of the Boy Scouts.
