Donald A. Peterson Named Chairperson Emeritus At Mount Union College

Dr. Donald A. Peterson has been named Chairperson Emeritus of the Mount Union College Board of Trustees. The designation was awarded at the Fall meeting of the College's Board of Trustees held last weekend.

Sy Green, the current Board chairperson, said the designation is given to those who have served the College with distinction as the chairperson of the Board and who have reflected sustained exemplary service to the College in multiple venues.

Peterson, a 1939 graduate of Mount Union College, became a member of the College's Board of Trustees in 1954. He served as chairman of the Board from 1971 to 1987. A radio and publishing executive, he has served as publisher of the Alliance Review and president of radio stations WDPN and WZKL. He was awarded the honorary Doctor of Letters degree at Mount Union College's 1988 commencement exercises.
