October 07, 2009
A donor recognition rally was recently held at Mount Union College during the 2009 Alumni and Homecoming Weekend.
More than 500 donors gathered on campus over the weekend to be recognized for their generosity and commitment to the institution.
Dr. Richard F. Giese, president of Mount Union, thanked the donors for their continued loyalty over the year. He noted that, because of their strong support, Mount Union was able to finish in the upper half among peer institutions with annual gifts.
Christina Burdick, a senior exercise science major from Willoughby shared her story about growing up in a large family and her time here at Mount Union. She also thanked donors for their support because she personally depends on it.
“Thank you to each of you for your loyalty over the past year,” said Kim Rodstrom, director of annual giving programs. “During uncertain economic times, Mount Union donors continue to support and help our students – we greatly appreciate all that you do.”
