Dr. Jerome Miskell Presents "Huzza, Ye Sons of Liberty!"

Dr. Jerome Miskell, assistant professor of music at Mount Union College, will present a costumed concert of music drawn from favorites of the patriots of the American Revolution, entitled, "Huzza, Ye Sons of Liberty," on Friday, February 22 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
Participating in the concert will be performers drawn from the faculty and students of the music department at Mount Union College, including Amanda Joyce Abbott, Elaine Anderson, Patricia Boehm, Jennifer Cancio, Jessica Chisholm, Scott Dorsey, Tiffany Gravlee, Yoko Kikutani, James Perone, Lewis Phelps, Rudy Roggenkamp, Atilla Samu, Rachel Shaffer, Bruce Shelly, Janet Swihart and Peter Synnestvedt. The concert will present the music of William Billings, Daniel Reed, and others including Benjamin Franklin. The performance includes vocalists accompanied by strings, recorders, harpsichord and drums.
Dr. Miskell is the producer of the concert, as well as a performer. He earned his bachelor's degree in composition and theory and viola performance and his master's degree in composition from the University of Akron. He earned his doctorate degree in composition from the University of South Carolina.
The concert is free and open to the public.
