I chose teaching criminal justice as my profession simply because I always thought it was fascinating.

Professional Accomplishments
One of my proudest accomplishments was receiving the Great Teacher Award at Mount Union.

Teaching Style
I try to keep students engaged by involving them in classroom discussion and small groups. I also am very interactive in my classes.

Interesting Research
I developed the criminal justice major and minor at Mount Union. I also have done research in various types of violence as well as profiling of indigent defendants as well as juvenile delinquents.

Best Part of the Job
Working with students has been and always will be the best part of my job.

Favorite Building
I love van den Eynden; it has so much character.

Classroom Learning
I think the criminal justice majors get experiential learning as well as the academics from the classroom.
