I was influenced to teach by my undergraduate professors. I attended a premier college in Calcutta, India, which prepared me to provide quality teaching to my students.

Being influenced by my early professors, I developed a strong desire to be an ideal professor, able to develop basic ethical standards and academic excellence. I was lucky to have eight years of study at Calcutta’s Presidency College, a premier college in India. I gained analytical skills in historical studies from the University of London and learned teaching proficiency skills from The College of Preceptors.

Professional Accomplishments
Some professional accomplishments include publishing articles in specialized journals of Moscow Academy of Sciences, Oxford University, Cambridge University, Australian Journal of History and Politics and Boston University, among others.

Favorite Part of the Job
My favorite part of my job is motivating students to have passion for something.

Surprising Fact About Yourself
Last year I presented a research paper in Barcelona, Spain. I’ve also published several articles including one with Amartya Sen, a professor from Harvard and a Nobel Prize-winning economic philosopher.
If You Weren’t a Professor
I always wanted to be professor, although I earned a four-year degree in law and certification in teaching from the College of Preceptors in London.
