Dr. Victoria Harris to Present Guest Lecture at Mount Union College October 8

Dr. Victoria Harris will present a guest lecture on Monday, October 8 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall at Mount Union College.
Harris, retired professor of music at Mount Union, will present 'The Long-lost Pianoforte Method of Adolph von Henselt.'
She earned a bachelor of music degree in performance from the Eastman School of Music, a master of arts degree in piano and music history from the Ohio State University and a master of fine arts and doctor of musical arts degree in organ performance and pedagogy from the University of Iowa. Harris served as a professor of music and director of the preparatory division at Mount Union from 1986 to 2004.
Currently residing in Payson, Arizona, she is active in numerous music organizations and is a contributing writer for Keyboard Companion magazine. An adjunct instructor at Gila County Community College, she also teaches piano and organ privately and serves as accompanist for the Payson Choral Society, director of music at Mount Cross Lutheran Church and organist/pianist at the Community Presbyterian Church in Payson.
