An education fashion show will be held on Monday, January 24 at 7 p.m. in the Mount Union Theatre. Presented by Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an education honorary at Mount Union, the fashion show will show incoming education majors the appropriate attire to wear to field experiences at local schools. Mount Union education students spend a great deal of time in the classroom and it is important that they dress appropriately and make a good impression.
Members of KDP will model a mixture of appropriate and inappropriate outfits. Judges of the fashion show include Peter Basil, superintendent of Alliance City Schools, Dr. Theodore Isue, associate professor of education, Melissa Askren Edgehouse, assistant professor of education and Dr. Peter Schneller, co-chair of the Department of Education and professor of Education. The judges will determine which outfits are appropriate to wear in the classroom, and explanations will be given for each outfit that is deemed inappropriate.
The fashion show is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Department of Education at (330) 829-8212.
