My ultimate career goal is to become a wildlife officer somewhere in the United States. I have always loved being in the outdoors, and I have worked to preserve animals that cannot protect themselves.

MY EXCEPTIONAL STORY

Choosing Mount
I learned about Mount Union through people that I went to high school with. Once there, I enjoyed the overall friendly atmosphere between the professors and their students. Mount is one big family and everyone gets along.

Talking Campus
I like the fact that the buildings on campus are up to date. My favorite place to be is Bracy Hall because I spend most of my time there.

Preparing for Success
The combined liberal arts education and professional preparation get me ready for life after college. Everyone at Mount has helped me get into internships, giving me vital scientific knowledge that I will use my entire life. I have held an internship at the Mount Union Nature Center, helping with high school biology labs and gardening days with the local middle schools. This has given me important skills in environmental education.

Environmental Science
I chose environmental science as my major because I have always loved the outdoors and preserving wildlife has always been my goal. My favorite class so far has been Intro to Environmental Science because of all the hands-on fields trips we went on for labs.

Favorite Professor
My favorite professor is Dr. Charles McClaugherty. He has pointed me in the right direction and has helped me get the most out of my college experience.

Future Goals
My ultimate career goal is to become a wildlife officer somewhere in the United States. I have always loved being in the outdoors, and I have worked to preserve animals that cannot protect themselves.
