Faculty Research Forum to Be Held October 23

Mount Union College faculty members Dr. John Bienz, Dr. Xiaoshu (Catherine) Han and Dr. James Perone will be featured at the Faculty Research Forum on Thursday, October 23 at 7 p.m. in Tolerton and Hood Hall, Room 100.

Dr. John F. Kirchmeyer, professor of computer science and information systems, will serve as moderator.

Bienz, professor of English, will be speaking on "Republican Shakespeare?" He earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and master of arts and doctoral degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Han, assistant professor of economics, accounting and business administration, will speak on "Measuring the Effect of Obesity on Earnings." She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Beijing Foreign Studies University, a master of arts degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a doctoral degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Perone, professor of music and chair of the Department of Music, will be discussing "Mods, Rockers, and the Music of the British Invasion:  Sabbatical Leave Project, Spring 2008." He earned a bachelor of music degree from Capital University, a master’s degree in clarinet performance, a master’s degree in music theory and a doctoral degree in music theory from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
