Faculty String and Piano Recital to be Held September 21

String performer Bohdan Subchak and pianist Kathy Reichenberger will present a faculty recital on Monday, September 21 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

Their program will feature pieces by Vivaldi, Mozart and Vieuxtemps.

A native of Ukraine, Subchak studied at the Kiev School of Music and the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Music in Kiev. He joined the Department of Music at Mount Union College in 1999 and is an instructor of violin. An active performer, Subchak is a member of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, the Tuscarawas Philharmonic Orchestra, the Alliance String Quartet and the Alliance Symphony Orchestra, where he serves as concert master.

Reichenberger, a faculty accompanist, coordinator of accompanying and instructor of piano, earned a bachelor of music education degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO and a master of music in piano performance degree from the University of Akron.
