Family Friendly Halloween Events this Weekend

The University of Mount Union and the Office of Student Affairs invites Alliance Community families to join them this weekend for some fall-themed festivities. On Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29, Alpha Tau Omega will host the DST and ATO Haunted House from 6 – 9 p.m. The event takes places at the ATO house at 1360 S Union Avenue and is $5 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Akron Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Research Hospital. This event is not suitable for young children and is recommended for teenagers and older.

On Saturday, October 29 there will be a Halloween Carving demonstration in the Kresege Dining Commons. Join Steve Baity, Food Network’s Cake Wars Christmas Champion, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. to enjoy carving, coloring and costume contests, and free fall-themed drinks and desserts. The contests will be judged at 6 p.m. If you wish to have dinner at the event, the cost is $9.75 for both children and adults.

On Sunday, October 30, SAE will host a Community Costume Party at 1359 S Union Avenue from 12 – 4 p.m. This event is kid friendly and there is no cost to participate in the contest.
