I think Mount Union is different because of the relationship between the students and the faculty. I feel very comfortable asking any professor for help and it is especially nice when a professor, outside of class, calls me by my name.
Financial Mathematics Internships and Hands-On Learning
Students who choose to major in financial mathematics at the University Mount Union will have endless opportunities to get “real-world” experience outside of the classroom. By getting involved in experiential learning opportunities, you can strengthen your skills and knowledge of mathematics and business, both of which are critical to career success.
Experiential learning opportunities will give you many chances to put classroom knowledge to work. These hands-on learning opportunities include:
- Internships
- Problem-solving seminars
- Math game nights
- Math competitions
- Mathematics and statistic conferences
- Research with faculty or student peers
- Independent research
Pi Mu Epsilon is a national mathematics honorary.
Mathematics Club is a student-led organization on Mount Union’s campus.
Mathematics Awareness Week is celebrated in April of each year.
