FLOREZ to Perform at Mount Union College September 26

On Wednesday, September 26 the Student Activities Council at Mount Union College will be sponsoring the hit rock band, FLOREZ.


Featuring Alex Florez and Erik Huffman, FLOREZ will be playing a blend of songs both new and old.

The concert will be held at 9 p.m. in Campus Grounds of the Hoover-Price Campus Center. It is free and open to the public.

The band currently hails from Nashville, Tennessee. FLOREZ has released two independent studio albums, 'Find Yourself' and 'Flight', and, most recently, their acoustic album, 'The Brooker Sessions'. In January 2006, their hit song 'Natalie' premiered on the NBC series 'Scrubs'. FLOREZ has shared the stage with many big names such as Gavin DeGraw, Will Hoge, Amos Lee, and Robert Randolph.

Erik Huffman, bass guitarist and singer for the band, will also be a contestant on the upcoming season of the reality television show 'Survivor: China' premiering Thursday, September 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. A Survivor Premier Party will be held for Mount Union students in Campus Grounds hosted by SAC, complete with a large-screen TV and snacks.
