Freshly Named Associate Director Of Admissions At Mount Union College

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Anne E. Freshly has been named associate director of admissions at Mount Union College, announced Amy Tomko, vice president of enrollment services.

Freshly, who previously served as assistant director of admissions, has been with Mount Union since 1972. First serving as a part-time librarian, she joined the admissions staff in 1986.

"We are fortunate to have Anne Freshly as a member of our enrollment team," said Tomko. "She possesses a wealth of experience and provides a strong sense of continuity to our admissions effort. She also demonstrates the care and concern for each student that is very much the hallmark of the Mount Union experience. "

A native of Hanoverton, Freshly graduated magna cum laude from Mount Union in 1962, earning a bachelor of arts degree in French. Before working at Mount Union, she taught French and English at the high school level for several school districts including Alliance, Salem and Willard.

A member of the Ohio Association for College Admissions Counseling, Freshly also serves the College as the fine arts proficiency liaison, United Methodist and Five College Commission liaison and the coordinator of the Presidential Scholarship Competition.

In addition, Freshly is an active member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church, Mount Union College Women and Alpha Xi Delta Alumnae Association.

In her spare time, Freshly enjoys traveling and collecting antiques. She and her husband, David, reside in Alliance and are the parents of three children: Thomas, Timothy and Lisa.
