Gender Studies Internships and Hands-On Learning

Students who choose to minor in gender studies at the University Mount Union have ample opportunities to get involved outside of the classroom. By getting involved in these extracurricular opportunities and student organizations, you can strengthen your knowledge of the effects of cultural attitudes and social structures on the experiences of men and women. As gender roles in society continue to change, demands for knowledge of gender issues in almost every area of life will increase, which is why this minor is so relevant and complementary to any major.

Experiential learning opportunities will give you many chances to put classroom knowledge to work. These opportunities, which complement classroom learning, include:

Student organizations provide an environment for students to connect with one another through a topic of mutual interest as well as an opportunity for learning and development. To complement a gender minor, students can get involved in any of the following organizations.
