MY EXCEPTIONAL STORY
Promising education
My dad took courses at Mount Union and my older brother is an alumnus. It’s a very prestigious school and one of the top universities in Ohio. I knew a Mount Union education would prove to be very promising and prepare me for my future.

Interesting major
I chose to major in media computing because it offered the best of both worlds – computers and art.
Flash animation
My favorite class so far has been Introduction to Flash Animation. It was amazing creating animations for the first time and I had so much fun with my other classmates as well. We even worked together to create a big collaborative animation at the end of the course. It was such a great project because we were able to combine all of our talents and even do some voice acting for our animations!
Hands-on learning
My favorite hands-on experience in my major has been creating games and animations in Adobe Flash. I always wanted to make games in Flash and now I get to do it all the time! It’s really fun and challenging for me because I enjoy pushing myself further with each project I tackle. I’ve also had the opportunity to DJ at our radio station, serve as a gallery assistant at our art gallery, showcase my comics in our student newspaper and create custom graphics and electronic greetings in the Office of Marketing. These interesting experiences have been invaluable and have truly prepared me for life after graduation.
Dream job
I would love to do anything with art and computers, but my dream job would have to be an animator. I can’t tell you how cool it would be to work on a cartoon show. I would love to collaborate with other creative minds and eventually see my work on the big screen.
