Scholarships

Give the Gift of Opportunity

Finding ways to finance college can be ovewhelming. The cost of a college education and increasing student debt pose significant obstacles for prospective students and their families. Addressing affordability is Mount Union's top priority.

About one-third of Mount Union students are eligible for the federal Pell Grant, which is earmarked for students with high financial need, and one-fourth are among the first generation in their family to attend college. Middle-income families who receive no federal grants are especially burdened financially. Helping these students attend Mount Union cannot be done without current and endowed scholarships.

Endowed Scholarships: Provide Permanent Support

Endowed income is the principle source of dedicated, long-term financial support for the University. It lends fiscal stability and enables the University to make dependable, long-term investments and to ensure that deserving students have access to a Mount Union education.

Endowed scholarships come in all shapes and sizes, customized to reflect the interests and hopes of those who create them. Since the principal of an endowed scholarship fund is kept intact with only the annual earnings used to fund current scholarship needs, endowed scholarships provide funding to our students in perpetuity.

Annual Scholarships: See Immediate Impact

The distinct aspect of annual scholarships is that they have full and immediate impact. Annual scholarships allow a donor to reflect their commitment to support a scholarship for a specific number of years. You may also choose to contribute to an existing scholarship fund that matches your passion.
