Glamorgan Trio to Perform at Mount Union College on March 29

April 08, 2010

Mount Union College will present a faculty recital featuring the Glamorgan Trio on March 29 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

The Glamorgan Trio is comprised of Dr. James E. Perone, professor of music on clarinet, Dr. Elaine M. Anderson associate professor of music on violincello and Kathy Reichenberger, accompanist of music on piano. The Trio will perform selections by Ludwig van Beethoven, Rick Sowash and Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka.

The Trio was formed in 1998. Originally known as the Mount Union College Clarinet Trio, the name change to Glamorgan Trio came from the most famous landmark in Alliance, Ohio, the Glamorgan Castle. They continue to explore various pieces to perform for their combination of instruments. In addition to performing at MountUnion, the trio performs as guest artists at Copeland Oaks.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Mount Union College Department of Music at (330) 823-2180.
