Mount Union feels like a home away from home because it has an inclusive community that allows me to grow academically while also encouraging me to learn beyond the classroom.
Why Nursing?
I chose nursing as my major because I am passionate about helping others and pushing peace studies into healthcare. I was able to speak at the Peace and Justice Studies Association Conference at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I discussed the health inequities exposed by COVID-19 and how nurses can be advocates for their patients.
