Great Backyard Bird Watch and Bird Breakfast to be held at the Nature Center
January 31, 2007
The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center of Mount Union College will hold the great backyard bird watch and bird breakfast Friday through Monday, February 16-19.
If you enjoy bird watching and identifying different types of birds, come participate in the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology's Great Backyard Bird Count. Enjoy a weekend of bird watching and counting and learn what the difference is between a nuthatch and a chickadee. The count will be held on Friday, 9-11 a.m., Saturday, 10-11 a.m., Sunday, 1-3 p.m. and Monday, 8-10 a.m. Before Saturday's bird counting begins, the Nature Center will hold a bird breakfast from 9-10 a.m.
Registration is required for the bird breakfast and has limited seating, but the bird counting itself requires no registration. The Nature Center is located six miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off Route 183. For more information, contact the Nature Center at (330) 823-7487.Back to Previous Page
