Greek Week Events Scheduled at Mount Union College

Monday, October 17 will kick off Greek Week 2005 at Mount Union College. Greek Week includes events each night of the week and is designed to bring sororities and fraternities together in friendly competition and to help the Alliance community.

A clothing and food drive to support the Salvation Army and First Christian Church will be held Monday, October 17 from 8:30-10 p.m. in the Main Lounge of the Hoover-Price Campus Center on Mount Union's campus.

On Tuesday, October 18, a campus-wide lip sync competition will be held. This is open to any organization on campus and will be taking place from 8-10 p.m. in Campus Grounds.

Wednesday, October 19 will be the Greek Olympics with sororities and fraternities competing. The events will all take place in the Peterson Field House from 6-9 p.m. Olympic events will include 3-on-3 basketball, volleyball, tug of war, a human pyramid, battle of the sexes and a hot dog eating contest.

The Greek sing competition will be held Thursday, October 20 at 9:30 p.m. in the Timken gymnasium. The fraternities and sororities will be putting a Greek twist on many familiar and popular songs.

To close out the events of Greek Week, a reception for juniors and seniors will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 21 at the Alliance Country Club.
