"Greek Week" Activities Include Community Service Day

Mount Union College fraternities and sororities will hold an annual "Greek Week" beginning October 7th. Participants include members of four national sororities, four national fraternities and one local sorority.

The festivities will kick off Sunday, October 7th with a "Greek God and Goddess" contest at the Mount Union Theatre at 7 p.m. Also held that day will be a "Greek spirit banner" contest. All banners will feature a "Greek Unity" theme.

A "Greek Olympics" will be held, Monday, October 8th in the campus quad, including tug-of-war, pyramid building and an obstacle course. A "lip sync" contest will be held Tuesday, October 9th at 7 p.m. in the Mount Union Theatre.

Wednesday, October 10th is Community Service Day. Members of the fraternities and sororities will help at the Alliance Emergency Shelter.

That evening, a "Greek Sing" contest will be held at 7 p.m. in the Mount Union College stadium or in the Mount Union Theatre, depending on the weather.
