Groundbreaking Recognition Ceremony for Bracy Hall

A groundbreaking ceremony for Bracy Hall was held at Mount Union College Friday May 17.

Members of the Board of Trustees and other guests were on hand to recognize Jim and Vanita Oelschlager for their lead gift of $15 million toward the facility. Mrs. Oelschlager asked that the building be named Bracy Hall for the sixth president of Mount Union College, Carl Bracy, who played a major role in her life when she was a student at Mount Union. The facility, which will contain approximately 86,000 square feet, will transform the natural sciences at Mount Union College, according to Mount Union President John L. Ewing, Jr. The facility will house the departments of biology, chemistry, geology and physics and astronomy.
