Guests Artists to Present Recital on October 29

Tze Yean Lim and Siok Lian Tan will be performing Sunday, October 29 at 3 p.m in Presser Recital Hall at Mount Union College.

Tze Yean Lim earned a doctor of musical arts degree in violin from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is the violinist in the Wright State University Faculty String Quartet. Lim is currently a faculty member at Wright State University in Dayton and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music preparatory department.

Siok Lian Tan is an associate professor of piano at Miami University in Oxford. She teaches applied piano and piano pedagogy, and coordinates the class piano program in the Department of Music. She earned a doctor of musical arts degree in piano from the University Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

During their visit to Mount Union College they will be performing Sonata in F Major, Op. 24 'Spring' by Ludwig van Beethoven, Romanza Andaluza by Pablo de Sarasate, Danse Espagnole from La Vida Breve by Manuel de Falla/Fritz Kreisler, Sonata in D Major, Op. 94a by Sergei Prokofieff and Two Chinese Folk Songs arranged by Li Guo Quan.
