Guitar and Percussion Ensembles to Perform

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union’s guitar and percussion ensembles will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2 Presser Recital Hall.
Ensembles will perform musical selections of John Cage, Henry Cowell, Michael Colgrass, Bach, Mozart and Kenny Dorham.
Members of the guitar ensemble include lecturer of guitar Adam Sarata; lecturer of percussion Jeff Neitzke; senior philosophy and integrated media major Eric Carbenia of Waynesburg, OH; Andrew Nelson; senior biochemistry major Eva Laino of Canfield, OH; junior management major Frederick Mackey of Boynton Beach, FL and junior exercise science major Patrick O’Toole of Monroeville, PA. The percussion ensemble consists of senior mechanical engineering major Mark Amabeli of Alliance, OH; sophomore computer science major Tim Bagnola of Canton, OH; junior music education major Allison Bates of Minerva, OH; sophomore history and English major Rebekah Davis of Alliance, OH; junior music education major Lizi Glanemann of Clyde, OH; senior music education major Jacob Husted of Carrollton, OH; sophomore psychology major Zach Shankle of Somerdale, OH and sophomore music education major Haley Walls of Oregon, OH.
The performance is free and open to the public. Presser Recital Hall is located within Cope Music Hall on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street on Mount Union’s campus. Due to ongoing construction at the site of the new Performing Arts Complex, no on-site parking is available behind the building. Alternate parking is available on Simpson and Vincent Streets and in the Eells Art Center parking lot, as well as in other campus parking lots.
