Guitar and Trumpet Ensembles to Perform

ALLIANCE, Ohio—The University of Mount Union’s guitar and trumpet ensembles will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27 in Presser Recital Hall located in Cope Music Hall.
The guitar ensemble, directed by Adam Sarata, will perform five pieces including “Prelude No. 1” by Heitor Villa-Lobos, “Minuet” by Luigi Boccherini, “Feels So Good” by Chuck Mangione, “I Just Wanna Be With You” by Matt Marvuglio and “Chesapeake” by director Adam Sarata, lecturer of guitar.
The guitar ensemble is comprised of senior physics major Marciano Bagnoli of Louisville, OH; sophomore Eric Carbenia of Waynesburg, OH; sophomore media computing major Andrew Nelson of Louisville, OH and senior physics major Andrew Shadrach of Hope, MI. Shadrach will be featured in the first number, and percussion will be provided by senior music education major Keith Wilson of Canton, OH.
Trumpet ensemble selections include “Processional Fanfare” by Gus Guentzel, “Canzon” by Samuel Scheidt, “Scherzino” by Bernard Fitzgerald, “Gavotte tender” by Louis Ganne and “Apollo” by Archie O. Haughland.
“Trio,” by Leon Stein, will feature sophomore Jordan Fitch of Canton, OH; senior music education major Thomas Gaskins of Canton, OH and senior music education major Andrew Whitman of Doylestown, OH. Music lecturer Michael Willard, director of the ensemble, will perform with the group.
