Guitar Ensembles and Jazz Band to Perform

Guitar and jazz band ensembles will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 2 in Campus Grounds at the University of Mount Union’s Hoover Price Campus Center.

Ensembles will be directed by Jonathan Willis, director of bands at Mount Union and Adam Sarata, lecturer of guitar. Featured vocalists will be freshman sociology major Maya Brown of Tiffin, sophomore music education major Sean Eppler of Mentor and Jessica Weber, lecturer of voice.

The guitar ensemble will perform selections including “Gavott” by G.F. Handel, “Awake Sweet Love” by John Dowland, “Invention in F major” by J.S. Bach, “Song for Bilbao” by Pat Metheny and “Mr. P.C.” by John Coltrane.

Jazz ensemble selections will include “Fly Me to the Moon” by Bart Howard, “Blue in the Night” by Johnny Mercer and “Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Buble, Alan Chang and Amy Foster.
