Gwen Gray Schwartz to Speak at LINC Luncheon
October 24, 2016
ALLIANCE, Ohio – Gwen Gray Schwartz, associate professor of English at the University of Mount Union, is set to give the LINC presentation at noon on Tuesday, October 25 in the Newbold Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center. She will present “Find Your Park and Notice What’s Next to it.”
Gray Schwartz, who teaches students how to write nonfiction, will take participants on a first-person tour of several national parks and describe the energy-related developments close to them. As the National Parks Centennial wraps up this fall, it is important for us all to know how our national parks are faring, both with increased numbers of visitors and the energy projects that are close by or encroaching upon them. In this talk, Gray Schwartz will provide hope and caution about the next century of land use.
Gray Schwartz received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English from University of Arizona, a Master of Arts degree in English from Morehead State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Comparative Literary Studies from Occidental College.
Lunch begins at noon in the Newbold Room of Hoover-Price Campus Center. The program will begin at 12:20 p.m. and end at 1 p.m. Each event costs $10 to attend, and a season pass is available. Advanced reservations are required. To make a reservation, contact Angi Swonger at (330) 823-6063 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
