I like to use case studies and activities to bring the content to life because public health should be fun! We will watch movies, interview public health professionals, listen to guest speakers and develop careers skills.

Experiential Learning

Experiential learning opportunities will give you many chances to put classroom knowledge to work and give you a solid foundation for a successful career in health education or other health fields. These hands-on learning opportunities include:

  • Internships
  • Service-learning projects
  • Organize health fairs
  • Develop educational events for Relay for Life
  • Help coordinate yearly childhood obesity event for families in the Alliance community
  • Research with faculty or student peers
  • Independent research
