Health Learning Objectives

With a health major at the University of Mount Union, you will be prepared to improve school and community health programs in an effort to ethically enhance student and community awareness and choices related to health, overall well-being, fitness, motivation, citizenship and access to resources. The program will equip you to be a successful health professional capable of serving and leading in your profession.

Health Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the health education degree, students will be able to:

  • assess individual and community needs for health education
  • plan effective health education programs
  • implement health education programs
  • evaluate the effectiveness of coordinated school health program
  • coordinate provision of health education programs and services
  • act as a resource person in health education
  • communicate and advocate for health and health education needs, concerns, and resources
