What I really like most about Mount Union is that I feel at home here. The close-knit campus community provides students with the opportunity to meet plenty of individuals who have their own exceptional stories, and the students and faculty care so much about one another. At Mount Union, it’s easy to be involved and still receive a high quality education.
Healthcare Management Internships and Hands-On Learning
Students who choose to major in healthcare management at the University Mount Union have many opportunities to get involved outside of the classroom. By getting involved in these extracurricular opportunities and student organizations, you can strengthen your healthcare knowledge and get valuable hands-on experience, both of which are critical to finding a job after graduation. Students are encouraged to actively participate in the following extracurricular opportunities.
Health Care Club is a student-led organization on Mount Union’s campus. Students organize field trips to healthcare facilities and invite executive speakers from regional healthcare providers to speak to students.
Internships provide practical experience in the real world, which can sometimes open doors to a full-time job following graduation. There are a wide variety of internship opportunities available, and in fact, students are required to complete an internship with a healthcare organization as a part of Health Systems Practicum.
