My favorite teacher is a person who hasn’t taught me in a traditional classroom. Morgan Bagley, athletic trainer and director of athletic training education at Mount Union, is not only my advisor and athletic trainer for basketball, but also has become one of the most important people in my life. She is always there for me no matter what and I would be lost without her.

Testimonials from Current Students
I have liked many of my classes, but I would have to say that my absolute favorite class thus far at Mount Union has been my field experience course. I really enjoyed going to GlenOak High School to work with its athletic training department. I got a lot of hands-on experience that was tremendously beneficial, and I got to see what it would be like for me to work in this type of environment after I graduate. In addition, I got to serve as an athletic training student during a football camp in August 2011. It was a great learning experience for me and I can’t wait to work with more athletic teams!

Testimonials from Former Students:
Mount Union provided me with the foundation on which my career has been built.
- Paula Bealer-Cummings, MS, ATC (1987)
The internship I did with the Browns while at Mount Union helped me at Virginia Tech as a graduate assistant and then back again with the Browns as a full-time ATC, and now I’m a Division I football ATC.
- Nate Miker, MS, ATC (2004)
After attending the Mount Union athletic training program, I went on to become Mount’s first doctor of physical therapy.
- Dana Benedict, ATC, DPT (2005)
"Athletic training is an incredibly rewarding career. Helping athletes on a sports team prevent, rehabilitate, or evaluate their injuries is a great way to get hands on experience. Athletic trainers are passionate about both sports and medical care and this major allows for a perfect marriage between the two."
- Alex Shaheen, AT, ATC (2011)
Testimonials from the Community
“One of my students has been undecided about a career. He knew that he wanted to go into something medically related but unclear which direction he should go. Since seeing your University of Mount Union students in the Athletic Training Room and on the field he thinks that is the path he would like to travel. Your students have had a terrific influence on our athletes and I just wanted to say thank you.” Stephanie McKnight, AT, ATC, Alliance High School
