Hispanic Food Festival 2005

Our 1st Annual Hispanic Food Festival was held on September 27, 2005. With the help from many of our Hispanic students and faculty we were able to educate and share some of the rich traditions and customs of Mexico and Columbia. In essence, we offered a taste of culture to our students who were able to witness varying artifacts, maps, hand-make dolls and blankets from the two countries as well as sample authentic foods and drinks that was actually prepared by our own Hispanic students. The students were able to listen to salsa music and reggatone songs as well as view a slide show of the different locations and landmarks within the countries. It was a huge success! In 2006 we plan to make it even bigger and better!
