hispanic food festival to be held october 3

April 08, 2010

The Third Annual Mount Union College Hispanic Heritage Food Festival will be held Wednesday, October 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Campus Quad.

According to Tori Snyder, a senior history major and coordinator of Hispanic Heritage month, the Hispanic Heritage Food Festival will feature foods from Mexico, Puerto Rico and Cuba.

'The purpose of the festival was to incorporate Hispanic Heritage Month into Mount Union's campus life,' said Snyder. 'With the help of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, some of the other Hispanic students and I instituted the food festival and other activities to celebrate and commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month. The festival is now an entity in itself, with live music and food from across Latin America.'

All members of the campus community are invited to attend. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be held in the Hoover-Price Campus Center.
